Texas State Tree

My name is Yvonne also known as Indu. I didn’t go the College route and decided to learn from the streets for the past 30 plus years.   I have been a practicing License Massage Therapist for over 19 years.  Then the past 2-4 years I have been expanding my knowledge with  Yoga, Aromatherapy and Herbs.  I hope you enjoy my blog on some of things I have been learning along the way...Namaste Indu

Texas State Tree: Pecan

Tree #2 has been the Texas State Tree since 1919 and adopted as the State Health Tree in 2001.  Fossil remains tell us that this tree has been around long before humans.  It is our joy for baking, shading, snacking and it has funny looking flowers.   Gardeners and Farmers love this tree as much as a Herbalist.  Homeowners Associations could possibly ban this tree for its growing size of 100-140 feet.  I’m not a Tree Hugger, but this tree could possibly turn me into one.  Here are some of my favorite finds.  Self Nutrition Data  Click Here! , USDA Plant Guide Click Here! ,
